First - in our family my brother has all the mechanical** aptitude ( he restores old Harley Davison Knuckleheads for a hobby) - I hate working on cars. I can repair bicycles. http://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rofl2.gif
So the mechanical aspects of locomotives can be a mystery to me...I'm trying to learn.

Question: If, as in the ORTS diesel engine block, this data is provided

        	IdleRPM ( 275 )
			MaxRPM ( 800 )
			StartingRPM ( 100 )
			StartingConfirmRPM ( 303 )
			ChangeUpRPMpS ( 45 )
			ChangeDownRPMpS ( 39 )
			RateOfChangeUpRPMpSS ( 10 )
			RateOfChangeDownRPMpSS ( 5 )

Why do you need the ThrottleRPMTab. Why can't OR construct it from the above data?
Could the same be applied to the Diesel Power Tab?? if given all the proper data?

**meaning machines and how they work.

I think it's in recognition of the following factors:

-Idle and run 1 are often the same speed, the interpolation method was what MSTS used, and it required workarounds with respect to this (particularly with sounds)
-Not all locomotives change RPM linearly with power lever position (GEs are a classic example)
