That is a trainset I've been looking for. Can't wait for it to come out.

Very nice, naturally you gotta put a steam loco on the point. ;)

To be accurate, this iteration of the circus train wasn't pulled by steam.

This version with smoothside cars and containers is 1980's and later.

For some this hobby is all about historical accuracy. I can appreciate it and welcome the opportunity to learn from others lifetime experience and interests...However, it's also ALL about fantasy, virtual reality, and ultimately ones own leisure&entertainment.

I always populate the activities with historically inaccurate trains, locomotives, and other equipment...it's more about a railroading museum experience for me...I love to see a fabulous passenger train from the 40's roll by me, or an ancient switcher working the yards. Not others cup-o-tea, but I like to brew my own.

Just some friendly push-back, Eric. I am continually amazed by the amount of details the more experienced crowd (and you are among them) have at their fingertips. Down to the smallest rivet in some cases.
Very Satisfactory.

I hope the current Feld organization (whatever the corp name, there have been so many mergers and reorganizations over the years ) will give permission.

I believe UP3985 hauled the circus train at some point...

Yep, video proof comfirms: https://www.youtube....h?v=OIz7zg8_4QQ

So you can indeed put a steam loco on the point of that. ;)

Those are water tenders for the steam unit.

And yes some of the cars could be used behind steam engines, however, some have WiFi domes on them, plus some flats have new vehicles that would not be in the consist.

Ya know, It's too bad UP did not tack a caboose on the end of the RBBB train on that trip.

Ian, When will the RBBB set be released?
