Thank you Erick, I know nothing about modeling, building CabViews - let alone 3D Cabs. Keep posting progress shots.

For NA equipment, I don't believe there are any other 3D cabs. Have you seen the ones used in RUN8 -- Very Impressive, my hope is that one day OR will have 3D cabs like these.

Their UP, BNSF & CSX Mainline power sets (GE's and EMD SD60s & 70s) also come with 3D cabs. I own the UP and CSX sets (note, not the freebie super sets but their payware packs), and found the 3D cabs to be the least attractive portions of the sets. Deko's models and their sounds are first rate, but not the cabs ... not even the 2D cabs, unfortunately. I installed freeware cabs from the trainsim f/l in their place.

And speaking of 3D vs. 2D, I can live either way. I own all of the sims, including Run8 and both of DTG's sims, and they all use 3D cabs exclusively. But if can find a good, hi-res 2D cab, then I'll take that in preference to a mediocre 3D one.
