Yes, there is the problem you evidence, but I didn't know how to solve it.
You have now indicated a clue and I thank you for that. I'll try to implement it.

x.3940 has implemented James' suggestion. Now camera 4 panning directions are relative to actual direction of camera.

I only want to propose to set the arrow keys more MSTS-style. The left-right keys should fly you around the car in a circle like with cam 2 or 3. The Up-Down keys should bring you closer or distant to the car.
...

Since X3940 it is perfect to me. Thanks for adjusting it!

Carlo: I just accidentally discovered this after updating to 3989 - August and September are a blurr with life issues keeping me from paying attention to the sim.

Beautiful change! Works like a champ. Thank you sir. In MSTS I used to use the 4-view to watch the switching when picking up or setting out cars, but you need the side to side movement to set yourself in the right trainspotter location to catch all the action. Now I can use that same tool in ORTS and I am a very happy camper!

It just keeps getting better!

I confess that I have not been keeping up with updates, and now I'm not sure where to find them. Where do I find the patches since 1.2.3766?

Thanks

Rick

From the main OR menu select Options, then the Updater tab, then select the "Testing" or the "Unstable" radio button. Return to the main OR menu, and on the top right you should see a string of type "Update to..." . Click on it, and you will get the recent OR version. If you prefer to keep a copy of your stable version, you can download the latest version from here https://james-ross.c...jects/or/builds . In this case you will decompress it in a new directory.
