imageMapsUrl = http://maps.googleapis.com
/maps/api/staticmap?center={lat},{lon
}&zoom={zoom}&size={res}x{res
}&maptype=satellite&key=******
I have split it up onto 4 lines so hopefully the whole lot will show.

Today I figured out what I was missing.
I used Simple API KEY, but I should first enable Google Static Maps API keys.
It is good to see those nice google images now, I have a fast connection, they load quickly.

Dumb question: Does TSRE fill in all the values for lat, lon, zoom, resX and resY or do I have to do that each time I want an image?
FWIW the Wait time is not >20 minutes so clearly something isn't right. I'm using:
imageMapsUrl = http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/staticmap?center={lat},{lon}&zoom={zoom}&size={res}x{res}&maptype=satellite&key=deleted in this post for privacy reasons

I was going to give a clue as to what the API key should look like, but it is mind bogglingly complicated. Do a google search for
"Google Static Maps API keys"
