Occurred in X3881.

When the train passing a red signal and catching a system emergency stop. I remember that in previous versions after the train fully stops and you press <Ctrl+M> to change to manual mode and then change back, the emergency stop will release and the game could be continue. But now it can't. Anything goes wrong? :sign_thanks:

Not only in the timetable mode happens this, but either to in the explore mode and activity mode.

The only solution is save with F2, relieve the route, start in Resume/Replay, and than you can resume in the route.

This problem is in OR from v. X 3872.

At some locations in a route happends this either to even there is no red signal every 10 a 15 m on a specific traject in a route.

Control+M works only in the activitie mode but not in every route,

The same problem is to switch forwards wit buton G that not olways function in wat for ever mode.

It is time for the team of OR to fix this problem!

Regard.

This may surprise you, but even OR developers have a life away from Open Rail.
I've seen the report, it's on my list, and I will look into it - but not just right now.
It's not a game stopper, so it can wait a bit.

Regards,
Rob Roeterdink

I agree with Rob's words and I don't like andejong's last sentence.
However with x.3884 I have provided a temporary solution for the impossibility of exiting from TCSEmergencyBraking, which may eventually be overridden by Rob's fix.

Agree with that and it's kind of funny . . . as M. dejong is using and providing feedback he's part of the OR team!
So he's telling HIMSELF to get busy and provide a fix? http://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif Maybe recruit some programmers in his spare time?

I believe and I see the team IS providing overwhelming and outstanding support. Thank you all!

Sorry to resurrect this topic, but has anybody had a chance to look at this? Still happening in explore mode. Prevents passing the cement plant outside Henderson on WB Cima Sub, so it is a game killer. The symptoms are:

  • Running normally in Explore mode; all signals green in F4 track monitor.
  • Press F2 to save, then exit.
  • Some time later, return to the route and Resume.
  • Now, the next signal is yellow or flashing yellow. If flashing, the one after that is yellow or permissive red. After the permissive red, sometimes things will clear, but in the Cima route the following signals after the permissive red are absolute red, cannot be changed, are not due to a switch, and effectively terminates the game.

This is acting like TCS Emergency Brake, but I have TCS turned off in the Options. This is in X3908. And this is in Explore mode where there should be nothing else on the railroad.

Or should I only run OR when I have time for a full run, never using save?

EDIT: sorry, forgot to attach the log the first time ... the dump file is too big to attach (387 MB).

I also get the problem, the problem has been noticed also by other people and the problem wasn't there in stable release 1.2.
The logfile provides a possible hint to someone wanting to cope with the problem.

I've had a few instances of this in Explore mode as well, mostly on European routes: Linia 202 in Poland and Deva-Tîrgu Jiu formerly available on train-sim.ro. In these cases I had to go into Dispatcher mode to manually clear them. I have also had a couple of instances where throwing a switch sort of resets the signals and then they all clear up

As a preliminary solution you can replace orts.simulation.dll with the attached one in release x.3911
Attached File  Orts.Simulation.dll.zip (462.04K)
Number of downloads: 275

Success! With that dll installed green signals appear on resume in explore mode. Thank you! Guess I should take the full update to 3911 now that it's offered...
