Thank You, it works fine!

However, here's another thing: if player train tries to perform the pickup, train parts run through each other. Not in all cases, e.g. as shown in the screenshot, at the siding I picked up the Boxcab helper engine as player with no issue, but when backing up to the main to pickup the rest of the train, the runthrough happens... Even when tried at really slow speed (under 2MPH). Anyone had this problem before?

My question is in the thread of Timetable questions describes the problem I encountered. Several tests performed showed that the case is signalling logic and I need to modify the signal files. Using of this function looks like a solution to fix the problem.

Whenever a train approaches a signal which is at danger, it will try to clear its path beyond that signal in order to try and clear it. It therefor checks all sections beyond that signal up to the next signal, and will 'reserve' all sections which are clear. But if a train is approaching a signal which has approach control, this is of limited use as, even if the full route beyond the signal becomes available, the signal still would not clear until the train fullfills the approach control conditions. Reserving the sections beyond the signal could lock out other trains which might otherwise have passed this location before the signal could have been cleared.
The function "approach_control_lock_claim" prevents the train from reserving sections beyond the signal as long as it does not fullfill the approach control conditions.

Did I understand correctly that nothing can be done with this function in signal files and the function will take effect when ApproachControlSet is TRUE?

My tests showed that the problem is occurring only when the block is occupied by train with no power units. I already implemented an approach_control_position to the logic of Entrance signal.

It solves the problem of reserving sections beyond the signal but makes another one of course))) The signal is stay at danger until the train passing a previous interval signal even if the platform ahead is clear. I would appreciate if you showed me a different application method of approach position control.
In another words is it possible to set approach position only if next signal is at RESTRICTING aspect and if so - does the program "will remove" already reserved sections?

Of course, the ideal solution would be if the program was take in account a static consists without power units are occupied the block and trains was not reserved sections "through" those consists )))
