Hello,

I have tried to make a MP session using X3829. Unfortunately, there seemed to have been some issues.

Meanwhile I was able to see another player connected, his train and know the distance of the train (2 players, two trains), he was not able to see me.
On his side it said "1 player, 2 trains".

As we have approached, he could only see my locomotive. He has the same exact folders as I do, as well as the same .wag files.

What could have been the issue? Can you try to reproduce it? This happened with a loco+coaches consist. I noticed some errors in regards to the "DEFAULT" wagon.
When I try to play with the same exact consist, I see no error regarding the DEFAULT wagon.

We have tried to play with a single unit and it worked OK.

What could be the issue?

Pedro

We've made another test:
My friend took a single diesel unit. When we both took that unit, we could see each other.

However, when I took a loco+cars consist and when was taking just the unit, again he could only see his own unit and not my train at all.

I have tested what you say and here things work well, see picture.

Does your friend have the trainsets that you are using? You could also attach here your and your friend's logfile, so we can see if we find some clue.

Hi Carlo,

Thanks for your response.

It was pretty unusual. I could see his train but he could not see mine, just as long as it was a loco+cars consist. And then it happened to me as well when he took a train with a loco+cars at some point.

I shall try to test it again with him and provide you with the log files.

Regards,

Pedro

Hi Carlo,

In the meantime I found out what was the problem. It was actually on my side.

Apparently MSTS didn't really make a fuss if you filled in the wagons "UID" with specific numbers and not wagon order (from 0 to X). OR does not like that. :)

Non the less, I've found out that we can't hear each others train horn sounds. I remember we could some time ago. Do you know anything about this?

Regards,

Pedro

You're right. Something occurred to the horn handling between OR 1.1 and OR 1.2 here. I'll check.

OK, I found out the problem, which was introduced in x.3539. I have found a solution, but I'd prefer that the author of that release gives me an OK, so I have written him and I'm waiting for a reply.

Hi Carlo,

Many thanks for that. I will be looking forward for any updates in regards to the horn sounds. :)

With x.3844 the horn activated by a player is heard again by the other players. Moreover the horn is heard also if it has been activated by an emergency, which was not yet implemented.
