Good evening,

since some time I have experienced an irregular graphics process in OR. Not sure when this began, but currently this happens in Version 1.2 and X3821 and regardless of which trainset, route, activity or timetable I use.
Attached is a screenshot showing the F5-HUD with the Debugging-Information. I guess the line 'Framezeit' (the light green line) has to do with it as it is very irregular and shows maximum points at every moment when the performance is low (that is when OR gets stuck for a split second).

Maybe the reason is not due to OR, but to the computer hardware? At least I’m not aware of having done any changes to my system.
Attached is the log-file and a screenshot (from OR version 1.2).

Would there be an idea to what could be the reason?

Regards,
Gro.Bi

Hardware details please, as much as you can.

First impressions are that it is a very old computer, considering you have a 4770 video card.

Yes, it is an old computer, but recently it was still adequate to run OR.

This are my computer's details (as far as I can identify):
OS: Windows XP or Windows 10
Processor: AMD II X4 955
Graphics: 4770 graphics card
RAM: 4,00 GB

You are getting 93 frames per second.
The frame rate will get lower when there is more to display.

I don't see a problem.

I have now played an own-created activity that I played often before without any problems. Now there is an irregular performance on the line 'Framezeit' as mentioned in my first post (and the line itself moves irregular).
I agree that the frame rate will be lower in a station or when appearing AI trains.
But in explore mode and even when OR is paused, the line 'Framezeit' shows irregularities and itself is moving irregularly.
To show this, I have recorded a video, showing this situation. It is in explore mode and the player train is stopped, but the irregularity is still there.

Would it be reasonable to attach the video here and if yes, what file type is allowed? (I have not found any information about file types in the help topics).

Regards,
Gro.Bi

Any file type can be attached to a message if you put it into a .zip archive.

But with files like videos, you're going to run into limits with the file size allowed. The problem with videos is the smaller dimensions you make them or the more you reduce the quality, the smaller the file size gets, but the less useful the file becomes.
I would suggest you instead consider one of the image/video sharing sites that are common around the internet. YouTube is just one option. You can upload your video to one of those sites, share the link here, and you don't have to sacrifice quality if you don't want to.

Thank you for the information about the zip-file.
I now have included the video into a zip file and attached it here as it has only about ~860 kb. The quality is not very high, but I guess the irregularity of movements can be seen on the cars (especially the first truck coming from the left edge of the screen moves very jerkily). It is not an effect of the low video quality, but this was on my screen when playing OR in explore mode and even the train is not moving (see the line ‘Framezeit’ having peak points in certain moments).

Please let me know if however it would be necessary to upload the video to an external site (I have quite less experience about this).

Gro.Bi
