I have implemented the JSON parsing for this in X4193, and attach an example file created from the data in the blueprint.

Attached File  test-weather.zip (461bytes)
Number of downloads: 600

I also added a "weather" debug HUD to help test this and other weather changes. I found some possible bugs with e.g. fog setting immediately rather than over the time set in the file, which Rob or someone else can look at, or I can look at from 15th Sep if necessary.

And finally I upgraded the JSON parsing library so that the JSON files are allowed to contain trailing commas and, more importantly, comments.

Hi!

My question is, is it possible to set the temperature for a given season?
Currently, I have noticed that a temperature is set for each season (winter -8C, spring-autumn 7C, summer 20C.)
Can these be changed somehow?
For example, summer 32C, spring 15C, autumn 8C, winter -3C?
Now that electric train heating has been programmed, this would be very helpful.

Thanks for the help!

Sorry for spelling mistakes, I'm using a google translator!

Temperature is already a function of latitude and season. Closer to the equator and you will get higher temperatures, and vice versa. I dont think elevation is yet programmed, but should be in my opinion.

IMO temperature should probably go in one of the activity files but if that's not feasible then in the routes own .trk file.

I didn’t even find a hint of temperature anywhere, though I searched everywhere.Where could this be found and set?

You are maximally right.
But I’d be interested in where a general temperature could be set for a season. Or change the current one.

I would still like to ask for help in this matter.
I opened 3 different maps and all 3 had different temperature values.
I compared the "env" files, found no difference or option in which to adjust the temperature.
How do you calculate it, or where do you get the temperature for a given season?
Please help me!

I would like to know if it is possible to correlate the weather events based on real coordinates and real weather conditions using the network connection .. so as to break down the weather randomness (often quite repetitive and not in keeping with the truth, at least not fiddling with the files setting)

All.

Could Open Rails make use of the real world weather used by Flight Sim?

regards,
vince
