I bought Jumper for $10 but the supplier gave a download page with the information that there were no more keycodes available. Fortunately I had paid with paypal who gave me my money back.

I tried Poker from ET library but nothing... the exe seemed to work but nothing appeared. Only clue was a comment on font and typesize.

So, I googled Flyto - went to:
http://www.trenomani.../guideutili.asp
used Google Translate and.. what a find.. lovely very useful simple to install and run program.. must be one of Carlos' pals.. Italy for my next vacation I reckon...

I have never hard of FlyTo but I have heard of the other two. I made my own program years ago, before I even knew any others existed, and still use it to this day. So I guess there are four of those utilities around.

Five... I built one as well and had been selling it on DigitalRails.com (it reads in MKR and KML in addition to maintaining an on-the-fly list of locations).

I suspect all of these apps now need to be run as administrator due to a change to Windows permissions and restricting how one app can take over another...

No. I use XP SP3 on one computer and Windows 7 on second. There is no "taking over" involved with Flyto.

Are you an apologist for the Jumper program?
Jumper was a disgraceful attempt at a rip-off.
You should make an attempt to contact all those who bought it, but then found they could not use it except in demo mode.

Hah! My world is changing too fast for me to cope.

And, yes, if MSTS is ran as Administrator on Vista+, then whatever utility of choice is in use needs to be Administrator, too.

How do you know this? Do you know what "taking over" means in this context?

There most certainly is a takeover of the app if they're separate executables (which they would have to be) and one is temporarily trying to mimic human behavior on the other one.

Nope. Never used it, never needed to because I built my own.

But hey, sorry for trying to give you a suggestion on why some other apps failed to work after a Microsoft security update took away the ability for Executable A to manipulate forms from Executable B without the appropriate privileges...
