Peter, would you like the modded CTN test route for timetables?

Are you able to send me the modded test route and timetable that you created?

Thanks

Yes, i already sent you a pm asking for an email addr. The modded test route isn`t much, but I hope it might be useful, if it savers you a few minutes.I will try to attach it hererick

I accidentally disconnected my tender by double-clicking on a coupling in the shunting display. Thereafter I had zero fuel and water, even after reconnecting. Should there be some detente against disconnecting your tender or is it a feature of some scenarios?

In MSTS, if you set the coupling type to "Bar" it cannot be disconnected. I assume that OR is the same.

	Coupling (
		Type ( Bar )

To elaborate a bit, you must have two types of couplings on steam engines and tenders: one bar, and one with whatever your other stock that will be used with it will be using (automatic, chain, etc.)

I agree I was not very clear in my first post.

The full loco and tender coupling settings I use are:

	Coupling (
		Type ( Bar )
		Spring (
			Stiffness ( 1e6N/m 5e6N/m )
			Damping ( 1e6N/m/s 5e6N/m/s )
			Break ( 1e8N 1e8N )
			r0 ( 10cm 10cm )
		)
		CouplingHasRigidConnection ( 1 )
		Velocity ( 0.1m/s )
		CouplingUniqueType (unique_name)
	)

	Coupling (
		Type ( Chain )
		Spring (
			Stiffness ( 1e6N/m 5e6N/m )
			Damping ( 1e6N/m/s 5e6N/m/s )
			Break ( 1e8N 1e8N )
			r0 ( 20cm 40cm )
		)
		Velocity ( -0.1m/s )
	)

In OR you can still disconnect tender with a bar connection between loco and tender . I didn't realize that it would because I've never tried that before . There should be a way to lock it - - probably only split for maintenance anyways .

In Australia, sometimes on branch lines with small turntables at the terminus, the tender was split from the locomotive to allow turning of the locomotive. Once the two units were turned on the turntable, they were reconnected.
