Just swap the concrete texture of DB1 tracks to wooden texture.... :pleasantry:

That would definitely not look right. :lol:

I did shift it up but the shift had no effect in Shape Viewer, as I tried to explain in my first post above.

I know this is not supposed to happen. I did shift the cement sleeper tracks up and it worked. But no joy with the wooden version! Not if set as the default display base.

I don't know why you had problems, but I shifted DB3_a1t500mStrt.s:

Y = +0.275m
Z = -250m

with no problems.

I've attached the shifted shape file - BYOT*.

Hi Huecuvoe,

thank you so much! It is amazing that it worked for you. I put it into the program folder and voila, it works for me too now! It only was about 6cm too high, though this may vary a bit according to different rolling stock, but I was able to shift your file down those 6cm and now it all works for me, too! :sign_thanks:

See pictures!

First picture shows a locomotive loaded as first shape, sunken into the rails, and a second shape of the same locoomotive placed over it 6cm higher.

Second picture shows final state of affairs.

No idea why my tries with the wooden tracks were all in vain ... Attached File  amazed.jpg (238.6K)

I used the displaybase.s as posted and my wheels are right on the rails. Maybe the problem is with your loco? Did you try others?

Upon checking several other locos I have come to the conclusion that you are right. That old British steamer is too low on the rails, and the base provided had just the right height.
