Open/close doors in AI trains

Hi jonas,
I believe that the vast majority of the passenger trainsets developed starting, say, from 2010 that you can download from here http://www.trainsimh...oad.php?catid=0 have opening doors.
Pay attention that if you check with Shape Viewer subsequent trainsets it seems that they haven't animation, unless you don't "reset" some way Shape Viewer.
Beware also that station stops must be made with... station stops and not with waiting points to have the feature working.

One of things that I would like to see is what doors can open and close as an option in the F9 tab--sometimes you only want certain cars or loco doors to open and close--for example, the locomotive doors and not the passenger and/or freight car doors in a train. Default would be as it is now--left and right can open on command, but each car or loco could have an option in the F9 tab of doors can't open, right door can't open, or left door can't open. Thoughts?

Uploaded in x.3780.
Manual updated in x.3781.
I'm not happy on the place where I had to place the checkbox within the experimental options window, but I wait instructions by James on how to modify it. I think that some experimental options are consolidated now, and could be moved to other windows. I would also propose to remove the Autopilot mode option and that to have it enabled as default.

Yeah, it's gotten quite crowded there. Does anyone want to check through all the options currently on the "Experimental" tab and suggest which ones should:
- Be removed - they don't work or aren't worth making visible to ordinary users (the underlying option can be kept or removed)
- Stay where they are - they work but not always, or are partially complete
- Move to another tab - they work most/all the time, and are complete or almost so

May I suggest to take all train-control items to separate tabs - one for activity and another for timetable mode (the few 'common' items could be included in both).
Not only will it make the 'experiment' tab less dense, it also makes it quite clear which options apply to which of the two different modes.

Are there actually any items on the "Experimental" tab which only apply to one of those modes, and why would we not want to make them apply to both?

I tested this new feature in a subway route, plenty of AI trains.
Works almost fine, but it seems to affect at the starting time of the AI trains.
Congratulations anyway.

A suggestion:
Reduce the open delay time to two seconds and the closing one to five seconds,
