Rogue track piece - does not respond to attempts to delete it

Either deep below or high above..
It was there in AE (I even used it to make a Path) but I couldn't find it in RE...
Yesterday I installed TrackViewer which helped find it.. see attached pic.
Note the Altitude from Camera.. and it is truly tiny.
It will not respond to attempts to click on it.
There is nothing I can see in World Files...
What do I do to get rid of it please guys?

Yes, thanks Andre.
I looked for that large minus Elevation when I should have looked for Matrix.
However, following Yuri's method I lose ALL tracks.
Removal of altered World folder and using backup works OK.
If anyone has experience of editing World files please chip in.
I know Jean Brisson has, but I haven't seen him around lately - anyone pm me his email?

I have used Yuri's method many times to bring a lost/phantom track shape together with the blue pole, and then simply deleted the unwanted track piece and saved as per Yuri's instructions.
I suggest you back up your tile/route, and try again carefully and slowly following the steps one by one and making sure you're doing them exactly as explained. I can attest that the method in the Yuri's tutorial works.

Yes Andre, I'll do what you say. Yuri's method has worked for me in the past too. I have trawled through the posts at TS and sometimes one has to rebuild the tdb.
This thread is instructive:

I have no dynamic or interactives which helps.
Thanks again for your help. ET at its best.

Hi Jovet,
Yes, I found it. And, I know about taking many things out (and storing far away) before starting a tdb. I wanted to avoid this if possible, but it looks as though a tdb is called for. I will try Yuri's method a third time, store back-up in a switched off external HD and then do a tdb.
Many thanks for your confidence with tdb's. Fingers crossed. More strategically I have never tried Goku's RE, I think I will when leaving the Uintah for the Peru Central and Mexican Copper Canyon.

It is not necessary to do a TDB Rebuild immediately after removing the TrackObj entry from the world file. The remnants of that track piece in the track database are not hurting anything.
While it's rarely a problem, I still urge and suggest that you do a proper TDB rebuild before adding any interactives, once you believe you're all done with track and road work on the route. At that time, this old piece of track's TDB entries will be taken care of.
But if you do Yuri's method you should be able to remove the track piece and all from within the Route Editor.
Either way should solve the problem.

Made a new tdb this afternoon - runs nicely.
As mentioned by Jean Brisson I found some bk files in World and deleted them.
