Maybe I'm doing something basically wrong, as I have null experience with TSRE5, however this is what I see.
With TSRE5 I open a route that has in an OpenRails subfolder an extended carspawn.dat file.
I select a car spawner, check the extended checkbox and select one of the lists.
I select route save.
I exit the route and therefore TSRE5.
I re-enter the route with TSRE5 and go to the carspawner I modified. However, the extended checkbox is not checked for such carspawner. The carspawner does not seem to be modified.

You found a bug. Changing carspawner type was not setting world tile flag: modified = true, so no changes was saved. Fixed in next version.
Now just place something else too.

I will wait for next version. My aim was checking that this new function lets TSRE5 and OR interact correctly. By the way something was however changed by TSRE5, because USA1 crashed, as described in the preceding thread :)

TDB has no "modified true/false" variable like world files. It is always rewriten if you click "save".
I will upload next update, but want to do collide fiag editing first.

V.0658 works, thank you. You only don't read data present in the Openrails/world file, but that's not urgent :)
