I am using using TSRE5 v0.654 and I am experiencing a problem where if I try to load a route with 3 or more regions TSRE5 will crash with a 'TSRE5 has stopped working' message. Routes with 2 or less regions load OK. I also tried this with v0.646 and got the same result.
Is there something special I have to do when creating a route to get TSRE5 to accept it? I can load routes with 3 or more regions withe the MSTS editor but I don't want to use it as it's quite lacking in ease of use.

The only regions I know of are the grid for calculating/defining quad-trees. When you use the RGE, you can see where the divisions take place.

I've done some more testing and it turns out that v0.646 will crash on any route that I create with the RGE, even if it is limited to only 1 region, but I am able to open the same route with v0.634 with no issues.
I have attached a very simple tiles only route that demonstrates this behavior.

Your routes crashes because sigCfg is not loaded and sigCfg is not loaded because you have no tdb file.
Create empty .tdb file and everything will work ok.
Crash fixed in next version.

Can you create a new route in TSRE?
Then you can add some track, but don't press Z , so that it is not added to the tbd
, a piece of road, a tree. And then exit. This will create an empty tbd file for you to use.
