When the superelevation and vibration features were reworked and improved, the tilting train feature was - inadvertently - dropped.
I have re-created the function, see picture (it can be seen that the body is inclined more than the wheels)

By the way in the actual situation there is also a malfunction when a tilted train is used with no superelevation selected, see picture (wheels are lifted from track).

Here is the .dll to be replaced in x.3672
Attached File  Orts.Simulation_tilting.dll.zip (385.32K)
Number of downloads: 318

and here is the first version of the patch
Attached File  TrainCar_tilting.cs.patch.zip (2.3K)
Number of downloads: 312

I have opened this blueprint https://blueprints.l...tilting-feature and hope to get approval in order to restore this nice feature.

Thanks, Maybe the APT and Pendolino can be made to tilt around curves. I think the trains have a maximum tilt of 6 degrees and the track also being super elevated on the curves gives a total of 12 degrees tilt.

Carlo,

When superelevation is selected, the track texture for the dynamic track is used. Would it be possible to change the track texture that is used?

Will the track profiles in a routes sub folder of ORTS still be capable of track texture changes instead of seeing default track an textures appearing?

Another thing. Would it be possible to have MSTS parameter Center level of gravity left an right values be used to show the orientation of a cars tilt factor say for shifted loads or would that be related to curve speed limits?

Edward and ATW,
you can create a specific track profile or use an existing one as described in paragraph 6.10.1 of the manual. In this case OR will use that one in superelevated tracks.
ATW, I'm not able to reply to your second question.

That's fine.

I have custom profiles before the removal of tilting in my routes that are Scale Rail an wanted to see if they are still active from OpenRails sub folder.

Great to see the tilting feature back smoother an better then before. Thanks Carlos!!

To be precise the track profiles must be put in a TRACKPROFILES route subfolder and not in an OPENRAILS subfolder.

How does OR distinguish between a Tilt train (tilts on bogies), and a normal train tilting (no tilting on bogies) due to SuperElevation?

The consist name must end with "tilted" (e.g. ETR460_tilted.con).
