To make this official, I am creating this post here since I initially mentioned this in a bug post and evidently this is a welcomed feature. The initial name I used was Tonnage, but I was told that Load is a widely used name as well. How about the name Tonnage/Load? This is to make sure everybody knows what this information is since the term tonnage is used extensively in North America railroading such as "trailing tonnage". This information is reflecting the weight of freight or the carriage weight, minus all engines that are part of the train. The tender will not be included since it is part of the operation of the steam locomotive. The blueprint has been submitted, all I need is approval.

You could probably change the name based on which unit of measure has been selected.

Where would the information be displayed?

I initially posted in the following post when I thought there was a bug. The link below will show you. The information will be part of the Consist Information line.

Initial tonnage topic.

Edit: I need to learn how to properly insert links. Sorry about this. Link has been fixed.
