I know we have a ton of PRR rolling stock, but I would give anything for a PRR J1 Texas type. :I-Agree:

Well maybe I could take a crack at making the PRR J1 some time. I am also thinking of building a K4 just for the fun of it. I'm still learning the ropes with this whole modeling thing and a few people on here have sure helped me out with getting much better! A few others I am looking at building eventually are a few 4-8-4s, 4-6-4s, and 4-6-2s. I will not say what yet as I have many projects in progress and a few that are close to being done. I also have a huge route I am working on with a friend and wont go into details with that either at the moment.

FWIW, the De Golyer library at Southern Methodist University in Dallas Texas has a large number of locomotive erection drawings and copies can be purchased. Almost all are for locomotives built earlier than 1920. Many non-US locomotives are present, mostly from Latin America -- I saw railroads in Cuba, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina all mentioned more than once.

I did grab a number of most recent builds for American roads, stuff I thought might be of interest to readers:
