This loco is nearing the end of its overhaul at my local heritage line, the Nene Valley Railway.

As I am now volunteering in the Mechanical Engineering workshop where the loco is being finished, I am in a position to get some detailed photos.

I know OR has the capability for 3D cabs but standing far enough back is a problem for capturing photos for 2D cabs, isn't it? At the moment, the tender and loco are separated and will remain so for some weeks to come, so that seems an ideal opportunity to grab some cab photos. Of course, everything is bright, shiny and freshly painted just now.

So 92 Squadron is being restored in Malachite Green. Nice to see a Bulleid Pacific in something other than BR Green! (I can't believe I just said that, because I LOVE BR green on anything, even diesels!)

The original Malachite Green, indeed - very bright.

Once it leaves the shed, we'll have room to overhaul "City of Peterborough" next. Does anyone need cab photos of a BR Standard Class 5?
