As some of you know, BLW/ZT has been hard at work on a new RS3 model for Open Rails and MSTS. Here are Rutland 205 and 208, as they would appear in the early 1950s. These two engines will be part of the Conn River Pack that we are making for Paul Charland's upcoming route. These are high poly models, and we included every detail we could.

Very nice. I always liked the look of those RS locomotives.

I wish those guys would do a model of the FT A and B. Lots of road names and other than 3dtrains ATSF models I'm unaware of any other payware vendor who offers them.

I wanted to include a Rutland activity with the route but there wasn't any freeware caboose out there so I drew my own... and then I drew a few Rutland PS-1s to go with them, and now I'm looking at a few URSA 40 boxcars. There are a pair of freeware RS-3s in the triansim library that worked after adding sound and a cabview.

We do have an FT model. Its not as detailed as this one, but it gets the job done!

There will be B&M FT's in this set . . . they were a mainstay on the Conn River line.

The B&M FTs were used as donor parts for the order of 50 GP-9s in later years, the Geeps road on their trucks. Similarly, the four BL-2s were traded in to EMD and their trucks used under the four GP-18s.

Some 'in depth' shots of the RS3.

Love those rotating fans! You can see them rotate, right?

Also love that ballast and tie texture!

Correct, Gaetan and I have offered them in a number of sets. As this is a more recent model, several wound up as bonuses to existing sets. From memory...

ATSF in the Troop Train set
B&M bonus in the original B&M set
NYO&W in the Maybrook set
I think they are also available in Reading, Lehigh Valley and NP...

I'm sure I'm forgetting some
