Fun turn of events.... I had another utility Decompiler created by Marty Griffin that works with binaries, and was finally able to convert the Cheyenne turntable to Unicode...

I forgot I had that until I was digging in my Utilities archive and decided to give it a spin at the wheel.

Turns out the Cheyenne turntable is 37m, and the code for the 37m animation worked perfectly.

I am adding a small feature to the turntable code, that is the ability to handle "partial" turntables, like the one in the attached picture, which can only rotate between 0 and 40 degrees.
Attached Image: PartialTurntable.jpg
In such a case this line
MaxAngle ( 40 )

must be added at the end of the relevant Turntable block in file turntables.dat .
The zero angle must be at the bottom right of the turntable in the picture, so the angle increases clockwise.

The feature will be first added to ORNYMG and then a PR will be generated also for the official OR versions.
Blueprint https://blueprints.l...rtial-turntable .

I'm wondering whether someone else has encontered "partial" turntables.

Hello.

Not in reality, but yes on a model railway track. But it was not so symmetrical, but its pivot point was shifted. Maybe 1/4, 3/4. So he existed in real life.

Sincerely, Laci 1959

Hello Carlo,
First, many Thanks for your work.
You can see one near my homeland. With Google Earth, search "Gensac la Pallue Societé des Vins et Eaux de Vie". Zoom in, you can see it. Use for transfering one empty tankcar in the warehouse with a trackmobile for loading with wine or alcohol (Cognac country).

Thanks, jeanmarc, I've found it, and it would be a nice addition for a OR implementing that real route.

Hello

A simple question with perhaps a quick answer.

is it possible at the moment for AI trains to utilize the turntable (aside from pool concept in timetable mode)?

Just for e.g. performing a 180 rotation

Thanks

Hi,
I have never tested it, and would be puzzled if it worked (for sure you have to turn the turntable manually)-

That was quite a quick answer then :)

The activities I am designing require the rotation of the locomotive 180 Deg once it pulls out of its shed, and then connect to the rear of the train in a push-pull configuration. I was hoping to define AI trains in the same way rather than "faking" them either already made up or positioning them reversed to begin with.

Timetable mode seems to support something like this via the turntable pools mode, but I haven't got that to work yet, and also my turntable does not sit at a roundhouse, rather just used to rotating locomotives.

Sorry if this question has already been asked and/or answered, but is there a definitive tutorial on how to add an operating turntable (or transfer table) to a route using TSRE?
