The MSTS Bin function for Projected Speed does not work on OR. It does work in MSTS. It was introduced in Bin 1.07. Has anyone else noticed this? Thanks.

I always see a projected speed in the Open Rails track monitor. MSTSBin itself forms no part of Open Rails, though most if not all of the extended functions are in Open rails.

:offtopic: , apologies.

copperpen, what bin extended functions are still not represented in Open Rails?

None that I am aware of, which is why I stated what I stated in that way.

I have the code from MSTS Bin 1.07 in the eng cab file and it works in MSTS but not in OR. The needle does not move but I do see the projected in the monitor.

Thank you.
If "projected speed" is the one also shown on top of the track monitor, I wonder if such a gauge is present in real locos. Implementing it in OR anyhow would be no big problem.
Or is it the maxspeed allowed after next signal or speedpost?

It is present in all North American modern locos with computer screens. Included in speedometer display and needle moves ahead or behind actual speed as it indicates speed in next minute based on current acceleration. When positive the needle is green, when negative the needle is yellow.
