OK, thanks for the explanation.
(I did not run MSTS for more than 1 year and that could be the reason I forgot about this behavior of MSTS.)

Thanks again,
Mirek

A further new release has been made available in post #5, solving a minor problem in computation of max allowed speed.

A further new release in post #5 adjusts rounding when converting max restricted speed.

In post #4 I have attached a new release of the modified files, always to replace in x.3404.

I've just rerun the "Quake-Damaged Track" activity and all appeared to be working - well done!

So after reading through this thread, Currently we are limited to ONE Temp restricted speed as defined in the .TRK file, you can have multiple zones but all use the same restricted speed Correct?

Multiple restrictions with the same limit should be possible. I recall some default MSTS activities doing that

I'm having trouble figuring out how to place restricted speed zones --- even though OR supports them. With MSTS it was done in the AE --- the path had an option of placing the restricted speed zone. I can find nothing in the trackviewer and nothing obvious in the TSRE - AE...unless I need to dig deeper?

it's in TSRE. Just above events button on the activity screen

Once you place them on the track, you have to use the Object screen to "grab" one end drag along the track defining the zone.

At least that's how I got it to work...
