I agree with ATW on this approach. A post be me in this thread almost a year ago suggested:

I also made this point in December:

IMHO it's no use saying "we need what MSTS does" if nobody is going to implement that (and nobody has); it looks to me like we need to start with some simpler, and using already-existing checks in the code is one way to do that. I'd expect most if not all of the messages I listed to be included in any evaluation anyway (whether or not they're fatal to completion) so why shouldn't we start by simply recording some things that happened?

We have to start this somewhere. I don't really care where at this point; it needs to record something about an player's progress and present it to the player upon exit/completion. :)

At least time, miles, completion progress as a start or an existing notification tab recorded in evaluation please :)

Bump... In addition to this long awaited feature, I would like to request the additional message stamped event to record "Activity Randomizing" events to the evaluations.

Is it such complex start to record messages into a Evaluation including confirmation messages if checked?

It's good to see discussion on the topic again. Now is it possible for some action!

Will this be included in Version 1.3 of Open Rails?

Hi,

Here I attach a proposal, with a very simple Activity Debrief Eval.

A new "Evaluation" tab was added in the "Helpwindow", it contains information about how the activity is being carried out, while activity is running.
Once the actual activity is finished, a debrief eval info will be available and a OR-DebriefEval file was generated, if the new "Debrief val" check box, at the main menu was checked.

This proposal is a minor implementation for the ATW and dforrest suggestions.

The attached files are for testing purpose.(x.4035)

Regards,
Mauricio

Sounds good Maurico but I do not see an evaluation tab. I will try it more tomorrow.

I had difficulty finding the added features. Can you please try and give more information. Has anyone else tested this?

At first I had trouble getting an finding it to work but then I seen that the RunActivity.exe was supposed to be used an not RunActivityLAA.exe so I un checked the Large Address Aware an tested a simple activity an am amazed of the start of this.

The debrief checkbox is above the activity selection tab.

Thanks Mauricio this is a good start as I like the basics for station stops. All I got to do next is test a switching activity.

ATW, that was my problem! I will try again later. It looks good as a basis but obviously more information is requited in the report. Is the report saved somewhere? I suggest somewhere in the MSTS file structure (as used by OR) and not within the OR program or user files.
