Cylinder Cock Sounds with steam locomotives

I have been thinking about this idea for years now but I have never brought it up. Would it be possible to have a cylinder cock sound triggred when you open/close the cylinder cocks and also have it synced with the wheel rotation? With most of my sound packs that I build for steam locomotives I always try to include a cylinder cock sound but it can only be done for a specific amount of time before it quits. I already have it synced to the wheel rotation on my steamers but it would be nice to have it play as you open the cylinders and then quit when you close them like real steam locomotives. What is everyone's thoughts on this idea?

the Cylinder Cocks sound trigger (discrete trigger 34) is a toggle trigger in OR, that is it is triggered when you open the cylinder cocks and is triggered again when you close it. And it is active both in internal and external view. So it should be possible to generate an .sms file that starts the sound when the cocks are opened and stops when they close.
That's quite more than in MSTS where the sound was available only in the cab and was triggered only at cock open (I suppose, looking at original MSTS .sms files like the Scotsman one).

Toggle triggers can be used only for oneshot sounds, but not for loops, as the start and stop would be the same trigger. Probably not hard to add seperate open/close triggers.
This topic is connected
So the list of triggers that i'd like to add to OR currently: TrainBrakePressureStoppedChanging, EngineBrakePressureStoppedChanging, CylinderCocksOpen, CylinderCocksClose

Yes, you're right. I noticed that I wrote a wrong thing and wanted to correct it, but you preceded me. You can register a blueprint related to these new triggers here https://blueprints.launchpad.net/or .
