Working on removal of this bug https://bugs.launchp...or/+bug/1497429 I have noticed that also Curtius-Kniffler parameters customized within .eng file had no effect (the default values were used anyhow). This has been solved in release x.3259.

Carlos,
Watching you and others on the team chop through these bugs is sooo wonderful (impressive too!) after the years of non-response from the KUJU-Micro$oft cabal and our cry for at the least to provide us with some meaningful documentation.
As I recall it took about a year just to find out how to make a terrain poly invisible (for a tunnel entrance) by a simple tap of the 'V' key.

:sign_thanks: so very much to all of you.
Sincerely,
vince cockeram

Hi All,

I just checked the adaptation of the Curtius-Kniffler Parameters and did not see any effect.
I tried the following Statements in the wagon section of the .eng file:

Wagon ( OR_Adhesion ( Curtius_Kniffler (7.5 44 0.861 0.7 ) ) )
and
Wagon ( ORTSAdhesion ( ORTSCurtius_Kniffler (7.5 44 0.861 0.7 ) ) )

At the start the electric loc with a mass of 86t provided ist Maximum tractive force of 300 kN. But at 15 km/h I observed wheel slip. This is a bit funny since the Default paramters (7.5 44 0,161 0.7) should give 279 kN of tractive force at start. With a C Parameter of 0.861 I should not get any slip. The advanced adhesion model was deactivaed. OR Version X.3264 was used.

Regards
Gehe

Curtius-Kniffler works only with advanced adhesion.

Hi All,

I did some tests with a diesel and an electric loco and still I do not observe any effect when I Change the Curtius-Kniffler parameters, maybe I do something wrong in the .eng

Hi All,

problem solved looks like that ORTS does not accept all the options as indicated in the Manual:

ORTSAdhesion (
ORTSCurtius_Kniffler (
7.5
44
0.161
0.7
)
)

works.

Looking at the last post from Gehe. it is the format of the data. In the manual this is in one horizontal line. In the post from Gehe the working version is vertical with each data segment on its own line.

Could be, because the options which did not work are also in one horizontal line.
Look at my posting on 28.9.2015 07:45 pm.
