Hi,

Something, not so good has happened to my OR.

I am running this activity out of Praha hl. n.

3176X build works fine. 3182X and 3186X crashes to desktop due to 'out of memory error'.

'Downgrading' back to 3172X and everything returns to normal.

I have included a zip containing the logfiles for 3176X and 3186X (crash) for You to study.

Hope this helps ;)

Hi Chris, your zip file includes only one log file, and it is the working one.

Hi.

Sorry for the missing logfile. I had markded two logs up for zipping, but Peazip fooled me and packed only the first marked file.

I have just tested x3181 as You wished, and

X3181 tested OK :)

Latest build X3186 crashes. Logfile included.

Thanks for Your help. :)

Okay, so this was caused by the improved precipitation effects; you'll have to turn down something slightly (e.g. viewing distance).

OK, I understand, but please tell me why my GPU load goes from 55% (x3181) to 98% (x3186) without changing the weather.

Weather is selected to clear, so no raindrops are processed. What is then eating up my GPU Power?

This is not any GPU, my graphics card is a XFX 7970 GHz ED so the impact must be much more severe if You have a less capable GPU.

I thought that rain/snow was processed, only when the weather was selected to that, not when clear is selected..

Nobody's mentioned that before (yourself included), so I don't know. Does it increase from X3181 to X3182?

I have now tried X3181 and X3182 in succession, (fetched from Your site).

Running build X3181 GPU-Z reports 43% GPU load while the train is waiting at the platform.
X3182 reports 89%.

Want some OR logging, pse. say when. I will be glad to help.

Funny... i can't notice the improvement of "improved precipitation effects". Am i doing something wrong?

It may not be immediately obvious, but as long as you're using LAA mode (the default) the precipitation is visible higher in to the sky and further towards the horizon.
