The CE uses the cerecent.txt which works fine...any chance of adopting this method for the AE...What am I missing. Appears it will accept only one gameRoot?

RE/AE will use the cerecent file too. It is just not done yet.

I tried the 64-bit version and seems to work quite right, both TSRE as Consist Editor. Thanks for your work. :good:

My computer has no internet connection. How do I install this program? I need a zipped version.

You have two options:
1. Just run EXE right after downloading it and copy whole directory to your computer.
2. Download 0.69.zip and extract it in proper location.

Works perfect with v6921 ... Goku, Thank you. Pace yourself, this is a big undertaking...I suppose one of the hardest tasks is prioritizing all the requests and suggestions for mods. You're doing a wonderful job...in fact I'm constantly amazed at this whole Open Rails project. Simply marvelous.

Create new directory for this TSRE version or remove all old TSRE files (you can keep settings.txt and cerecent.txt).
- New installation method

A problem: If your new install method automatically overwrites an existing settings.txt and/or cerecent.txt you'll be wiping out any edits the end user has made. Yes... he can back them up beforehand but then there is the question of whether the new files have added new parameters, stuff that might be needed.

Perhaps it would best to parsing the original file, identify anything therein that is different than what's being installed, and changing the to-be-installed settings.txt accordingly. That'll make sure anything you might add is actually installed... as well as keep any edits the end user made. Result: Everyone is happy WRT how easy it all is.

No. TSRE will not overwrite cerecent or settings file.

I have downloaded the latest version 6921. When I select a route it immediately goes to a screen that says TSRE has stopped working. What am I missing?

This is the first download since 6917. Did I miss an update that is needed for 6921 to work?

Thanks
Basil
