And of course it fits to routes created with demex:

Funny thing it was easiest feature I did in this RE.

Hey now, that is really cool. What was the input data type and resolution that you used?

STRM 1arc (30m) from here: http://e4ftl01.cr.us....003/2000.02.11 , but it should work with any hgt file.

And another example, niagara river:

And alternative map colors:

How do the alternative map colors come in? Can they be parsed in from an image, much like that "Solution for Real Terrain" tool?

It is just simple inversion of my default colors.

default:

inverted:

Default colors come from my preferences and are hardcoded in this function:

Meanwhile, in my testing I have got as far as downloading the program. I'd better start moving faster!

If someone wants check out these two new amazing features, here is new exe file:

http://koniec.org/ts...SRE5_v0.611.exe

Paste it into older version.

Maps works for any place in the world.
Hgt files needs to be downloaded manually.
Add new line in settings.txt file and replace with path to your hgt files:
geoPath = F:/hgst

Really exciting developments! Now if you can find a way to import DEM data directly, it would be beyond compare.

I really like how marker files are supported now and how its set up but I have noticed that there are no words or letters on top of them like MSTS has. Will that be added later as for me I like to mark my markers so I know where things are like switches roads, track exc...

I went here to get the hgt files for Portugal: http://www.viewfinde...oramas_org3.htm

However, I am not able to see anything in the editor. What should I do besides putting the files into the foler "hgst" and having added the line geoPath = D:\TSRE5\hgst to the settings.txt?

Yes, marker labels will be in the future. But I think if map layer is available, who needs markers labels?

Use Load Height button in terrain tools.
