OK, found the problem... It is an OR engine only as stated in this thread:

http://www.elvastowe...__1#entry178019

My T3a is like this, people with a far greater knowledge then I have have tried to convert it to open in MSTS without success.

Well, what exactly are the two errors? You stated that there are three files involved...

Paul :-)

Its actually narrowed down to a single file withe 3 parts (engine/crew/tend) ---K37 #491

Mess: Failed to find SMS file GenFreightWag14.sms is all it says

Hi,

I guess you were writing a reply at the same time I was editing my reply... the engine is OR Only as advertized.

Paul :-)

EDIT...

Ok apon further review, the engines ive chosen to run are all error free (engine, crew,..and tender) all work well wherever i chose to run---thats a total of 3 working groups...awesome works of art. Now enter the problem...When i try to add, for examle a caboose to any tender, THATS when i get the 14 sound error... example: adding Cpt Bazzas 0524 (DRGW) NG short caboose gives me the error, ive tried changing the file to 1 and 0, but it still asks for the file as if its missing...there has got to be a workaround for this (Add-on) error, i just cant figure it out...thanks all

(and its not just this 1 boose...2 others and various boxcars all from ET are causeing this error)...ive found one boxcar thats error-free--- the 2454 DRG from ET does not ring bells and is set to 1, so maybe this will help...

Could you share the WAG file here? One of us could diagnose it. As for the OR-only issue, I would highly suggest getting OR. It's much calmer and up-to-date than MSTS.

OK the boose above works...it does have a wag file... BZZ 524 which i think is DRGW has no wag file in there---can someone check this caboose out for me...

And theres no wag files in the DRGW twin caboose pack...so the one i posted is the only unit that works...

The cabooses use Bazza motion to simulate rocking on the rails. Therefore the need for the engine file for the motion to work in the sim. Copies of the non-motion wag files could be made if the motion is not wanted for the engine file cabooses.
