Kudos to the auther, who deserves full credit for attention to detail. All those animations are great, so he must have good material resources. The whistle sound is unusual.

Cheers Bazza.

Unusual for someone not in America. We were one of the only countries (if not the only country) to use Hancock long-bell 3-chimes which 844 wears. The recording that 844 uses is a little muddy, but that's what she sounds like.

I've watched and seen all those videos of the real steam locomotive. And the sounds are a bit off on this model. And for a payware model you'd think they'd get the recording for at least the whistle correct.

The only method to get the whistle sounds, without extra train noises, is with a static loco, recording with pro quality sound gear; followed by pro sound editing. Imagine the cost to profit deficit in that?

You cannot produce usable sound bites from a running loco & train from lineside recordings, only from recordings made onboard.

Cheers Bazza.
