Two (2) D&RGW 3000-series 3-Foot Narrow-Gauge Boxcars - 1940s & 1950s Paint Scheme
The D&RGW 3-Foot-Gauge boxcars numbered 3000-3749 were originally built for the D&RG by
American Car & Foundry beginning in 1904. In the mid-1920s, the cars were rebuilt with
Murphy metal roofs, and were repainted with the Round "Scenic LIne" herald.
In the 1940s, they were repainted with the "Flying Rio Grande" scheme that lasted to the end of service.
These cars, #3000 & #3207, have the final paint scheme and the Camel Hardware,
and are provided both loaded and empty.
