Hey everyone.

Now that I have the MILW 261 built my next couple builds are going to be the Rock Island 4-8-4 R-67 since its very simular to the MILW S3 Class 4-8-4s. A couple others I will also be building is the MILW S2 class, and the CB&Q 4-8-4 O-5A class. I also plan on building a NEW SPS 4-8-4 and a NP 4-8-4 as well along with the 3751 class 4-8-4 that is in the works right now.

Good to hear, but I'd suggest finishing your current projects first. You always seem to jump from one project to another without finishing or releasing anything. No harm intended; just a bit of advice.

Oh I know I do. Its just that some times I get bored of one project because I have been working on it for so long I feel like I need to start a new one. I do want to get some of them out but my plain is to release a bunch of them at once like Derek does. He has been helping me out with getting them to work in Open Rails and I am going to be sending him some of my locomotives for beta testing along with some other friends of mine to see what they think. Then again I do have NKP 765 (Multiple Versions), PM 1225, MILW 261 (Multiple versions), along with ATSF 3751, C&O 614 and C&O 2716 along with Reading 2101 with (multiple versions) of it as well that I need to get done. What I was saying Dustin was those are future projects I want to do but I do want to get the projects I mentioned done first and put into Open Rails.

I see what you're saying. I'm eagerly awaiting their release.

When you say NP 4-8-4s, I hope you're including the one and only Timken, Four Aces,1111,2626! She's probably the most "universal" 4-8-4, having tested on 14 different railroads. I believe she's quite similar in proportions to the 614.

Whatever you build, have fun, don't let it become a chore!

She definantly universal. The #1111 was built by Alco using one of their many "stock" designs for Timken. Heck, after the 1111 visited the Lehigh Valley they ordered their first 4-8-4's.

And NP invented "you break it you buy it" with 1111 too...cause that 14th line was NP... :bigboss:

There's more to it than "You break it, you buy it." Timken planned to keep the locomotive for 2 years or 100,000 miles, then sell it. They had an agreement with most the appliance manufacturers that they would be paid for the parts when they sold her. She reached both while being a demo on the NP, although she also had a damaged crown sheet when sold. NP was a mostly Alco railroad anyway. The sale price was quite cheap for a 2 year old 4-8-4, $33,000.

It's really a shame she was cut up in the late 1950s. As the first all roller bearing steam loco in the USA, she was a real trend setter of historic significance. Here she is on her final run, a "Casey Jones Special", along the Green River on August 8, 1957.

Don't be too hard on Brandon, I notoriously suffer the same 'digression' syndrome.
