Autopilot mode

so these signals should open simply because of the activity movements, and they don't? No use of TAB key?
John,
thank you for your post. In fact I have found out that the problem of the black screen on camera 4 was pre-existent to the autopilot mode, in the sense that if you pressed Alt-9 to follow an AI train and selected camera 4, you got the problem.
So now I have both uploaded the patch in OR release 2662 and inserted the patch in the autopilot version, updating the "Autopilot kit" in my first post.
Regards
Carlo

No use of the TAB key should be required Carlo.

Dogbert, are the activity and the route freely downloadable from the web?

Route http://www.uktrainsi...h=ty=9,cls=2994
Activity http://www.uktrainsi...rm_fileid=30280
I have also run a different activity on the same route using a different loco and the result was the same. ;)

OK, I will try downloading this (but with no premium account I fear it will be a long thing...).
PS: 19 hours download time foreseen...

Hi Dogbert,
sometimes have a hard head, and so I went on and now I have the route running and the rolling stock for the player and for the loose consist available. So I created a version of the activity with no traffic. Well, first of all I noticed that the speed limit in OR was 1 mph, and so I saw that the first MaxVelocity parameter of the player's consist file (that OR uses to compute train's max speed) was set at the equivalent of 1 mph, which is quite strange. So I changed it to 15.6464 (equivalent to 35 mph) and my train run at regular speed.
Now it is running in autopilot while I am writing this post. In the initial shunting I didn't find problems with signals (although with no traffic), so I ask you: where and when in the activity you got the problems with the shunting signals? And were such signals closed because of some AI train or was the route free?

So for instance a routes max speed on a given section of line is 90mph.
But if the max velocity of the loco is only 70mph, then OR shows 70mph in the F4 track monitor.
That is what i have observed anyway, with player control of a consist.
In the activity with the Garratt you are required to back onto a loose consist to the rear of the shunt signal.
So maybe OR Autopilot in conjuction with the signal, sees that loose consist occupying the section.
With manual player control of the loco, the shunt signal clears to allow access to the occupied section, to enable coupling to the loose consist.
There are other things wrong with OR in regards semaphore signal operation. The most glaring being that on combined Home+Distant arms, the Distant arm never clears.
But this is not a fault exclusive to your excellent Autopilot mode.
