I hope there a facility for both port and starboard head outside cab views. I often have to position this view pretty far away from the cab window because one side of the model has a mirror to look past while the other does not. In MSTS this was moot, because the coordinates were only for the engineer.

I missed your post until now... sorry about that.

What I had in mind was a full set of cameras replacing MSTS camera #1. Assuming some sort of convention for left & right, such as odd & even numbers, a full Cab set might start out with camera assignments like this:

2 Engineer's Seat. looking Forward. +/- 90d rotation, no other movement.
4 Engineer head out, looking forward, 0 to 180d rotation, allow a foot or so in or out movement from the window.
6 Engineer head out, looking backward, 0 to 180d rotation, allow a foot or so in or out movement from the window.

By using numbered cameras for the head-outs no two fingered commands are needed.

On the fireman's side would then be cameras 1, 3, and 5.

Alternatively, if we can tie the cameras to a role and a role to common commands in a GUI, it might be done as one camera set for the Engineer and a different set for the Fireman. Not too important for diesel or electric locomotives but for steamers it would work well.
