any idea how to correct the numbers on the cabview?

Thanks

Richard

at the bottom of the section dealing with the view in question you add this line

ORTSFont ( 10 0 "DS-Digital" )

the font has to be present on your PC and the first number is the point size

a finished one looks like this

Digital (
Type ( SPEEDOMETER DIGITAL )
Position ( 498 334 20 10 )
ScaleRange ( 0 80 )
Accuracy ( 0 )
AccuracySwitch ( 0 )
LeadingZeros ( 0 )
Justification ( 1 )
PositiveColour ( 0
ControlColour ( 110 219 64 )
)
NegativeColour ( 0 )
DecreaseColour ( 0 )
Units ( MILES_PER_HOUR )
ORTSFont ( 10 0 "DS-Digital" )

sometimes it will be the right size afterwards but not in the position or box that it is meant to be in, if that happens you have to fiddle IIRC with the position line at the top and i remember from experience it was one of those trial and error jobs. the font you see is nice it mimics a LED readout its free somewhere on the web.

found it it is here DS Digital font

It is around 7am on a late summer's morning when the three times weekly eastbound local freight on the Piedmont Northern gets ready to pull out of the shortline's one and only yard headed for the interchange with Conrail. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday the train heads down the east main to the interchange and back and on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday the crew takes the train west from the yard to work the industries to the end of the line and return.

The V-SDGSBD-16A finally gets going from San Diego after, mostly all, the commuter trains are done. They spent the last 4 hours diddling away in the yard putting their train together. Today, this "long" Auto train, topping in at 10,209 feet and 7,659 tons of loaded metal departs San Diego so early that even the roosters don't know what's going on! Due to time limitations, the crew will get re-crewed at Atwood with a dog catch crew.

I1) On Duty at 2300 and leaving San Diego at 0300, the V-SDGSBD-16A is seen approaching CP Ash in the first image.
I2) When I didn't think the end would come, this CP/ex-AT&SF DPU setup comes roaring through the depot!
I3) CP Morena and the crew thinks they're making good time, until the DS forgot a light or two...
I4) Cruising through Sorrento Valley, at a mere walking speed.
I5) The sun is starting to light the sky and I adjust my shutter speed for such things as bright gaseous balls!
I6) The train seems to stretch across the sandy beaches of SoCal...Good thing the only people out right now are SUPER early wave riders!
I7) The seagulls seem un-bothered by the loud, long freight train whistling through town.
I8) Cruising through Laguna Niguel, the CEFX unit tries to imitate an ALCO.
I9) One of the few places I sat and watched all 1.93 miles of this train cruise by is Orange. I knew the "end" was coming...
I10) Unlike most trains that take the "left hook" into Fullerton and points "North" here, this train continues East towards Atwood, with a crew change, and out to San Bernardino.

Regards,

-Frank C.

Really nice. Love the moodyness from he snow and he low angle you've got that makes me think I'm there watching.

I was at the location of the second picture about 4 hours ago! I did see Amtrak's Vermonter going the other way.

Thanks Chris!
It was just a little something i through together about a month or so back and forgot about it until today. ^^;

ALCo smoke and winter weather just seem to go so nicely together in my opinion.
