So with the SC-44's coming had to have something for the Amtrak Cascade Version to haul... this is just testing out the shells for the set.

Is it possible in open rails to simulate the tilt? I am somewhat fascinated by that. I've thought about running tilt equipment over other routes, for example the horseshoe curve route. I don't have the time to recalculate unbalance and rejigger speed limits, but it could be fun to try it out.

It is. But it works only for all vehicles in a consist, including the engine: Just add the suffix "_tilted" to the name of your consist file (eg: example_tilted.con) and the whole train should tilt.

This feature was implemented a few years back, mainly with european-style tilting trains in mind. Most of these are EMUs and DMUs, which tilt as a whole. As far as I know it's not possible (yet) to tilt just the cars behind a non-tilting engine.

I know I'd be a buyer for this pack, I've ridden the cascades more than once going from Vancouver WA. to Seattle to watch the Mariners game or a Seahawk game. That and they would work well for the Surfliner 2 route.

A common sight in front of my house, before they removed the tracks in the early 80's.
