How do I set up a copy of Open Rails on a removable SSD/Flash Drive?

It seems the installed routes in "Installation Profile" are taken from the system registry.

All settings are, by default, stored in the registry (as they should be). To enable portable-mode, create an empty file next to the executables called "OpenRails.ini". All settings will now be saved there. Some things are not yet supported in this mode: saved games will still go to their usual file location (%APPDATA%\Open Rails), as will Save Packs. There might be other things not relocated too - portable mode is not finished.
