The DMMC livery was made for a F-unit! Not a surprise, as it's just C&NW paint with a Loewy wave used on many cab unit paint jobs. Do the cars keep the silver stripe, or is it just on the engines?

For those just tuning in, I have mentioned previously that it's a sort of evolution of the classic CNW carbody unit scheme.

I am glad you enjoy the look Dustin. I'm considering a rounded portion to hold the lettering so it stands out a bit more ala some of the early CNW-UP streamliners. As of now, I feel it needs to stand out some more.

Regarding the cars, I may have mentioned in the past how some ex-C&O coaches were painted. While the upper portion of the car was painted in green and yellow, the bottom where the fluting was was left unpainted. That's the effect I'm going to go for on DMMCs cars.

Until I get the fleet built, they'll be seen on their typical freight assignment, TOFC trains, which suits them well.

I really like the sheet steel idea. I'm not an expert on it, but the way you worded it makes it sound much more convenient than just restoring the plymetal frame and putting in extra effort to maintain it.

Here's what I was talking about. This method will also be applied to the F45/FP45s once those go for a spin in the shop.

Edit - Kinda on the fence... I will make more mods.

Update from my Fictional railroad, the Chicago, Mishawaka, & Toledo:

On April 18th, 2019, the Illinois Railway Museum acquirred two diesels at the same time. One of them being a WSOR (ex-Rock Island) SD40-2, and the other being recently preserved CM&T SD50 #3001. The engine had originally be acquirred by the Mishawaka Route Historical Soceity, but following a strange turn of events and due to having personal connections, the engine was donated to IRM, and IRM accepted it because they didn't have to purchase the engine, the Soceity just gave it to them for free. 3001 is now the first SD50 in preservation, and it's one of the few left in it's original shape, not having been rebuilt as a Dash-2 or Dash-3. There is also rumors that the MRHS's preserved CM&T U33C will be attending IRM's diesel days this year. More details at 11!

This isn't a fictional railway but a fictional paint scheme. While making the Delaware Otsego FJ&G 100 it was easiest to start the project with parts from my S-2s. While doing the so I thought it would be neat to build the RS-2 in FJ&G orange scheme that never happened.

Fellow posters of Elvas Tower,

As of today, I am abandoning all efforts on my other fictional railroads to focus on a railroad I created in Railroad Tycoon II.

In short, I’ve got the need, the need for steam!

May I present to you, the freight hauling empire that is Confluence Northern.

Screenshots of 12 coming shortly, a Consolidation designed by the master mechanic Tim Muir and built in the Kingston shops.

Edit - And here she is! Ain't she a beauty?

Well, that went well. Yes, Confluence Northern is a thing, but it's very much off to the side.

And now, a moment of silence.

Rest in Piece Pacific Coast Lines - You were a good road, but ultimately, your time has passed.

I know I posted these at TS, but pretty sure they haven't made their way here yet. A trio of clean FBL C44-9Ws lead a manifest out in the desert after changing crews. They won't stay clean for long, though.

I've been busy with other things, but I got a bit of free time. I decided to upgrade both of DMMC's GP38-2s.

They've now got a full set of Air hoses, the MU connector cans, MU sockets, and ditchlights on both ends.

Does anyone have a broom I could use by any chance?

I have pictures of a switch-style broom I took for someone. I can find them tonight. If you want to try and make it, I can measure it up. If not, it should be easy enough to make

Sorry it's kinda late, but I'd like a broom please. If you model in Sketchup, that'll be even better, because it'd be easy to build it into the FA. If not, that's also okay.

And it'd make a good scenery item.

And I've got to trace those exploding polygons again... I thought I got rid of those things.
