I've added mousewheel FOV changing in X2115 and X2116. It should work on all cameras except the cab camera (I'd like it to work there but I think there's more fiddling needed). It displays the new FOV on-screen when changing and it is saved/restored/replayed.

Thank You James,

This works great! It's so cool to zoom way in and watch a train coming, then widen the view as it goes by. It makes both "train watching" and virtual photography a great deal better.

The development of this feature now introduced officialy is fantastic! I've just tested it and I do enjoy the fact that one can make a "faster zooming" and slower zooming while pressing the CTRL key. :) Thank you very much once again. :mshk:

I thank James too for having introduced the feature within the official ORTS release. I must say I would prefer that the angle value was not shown, and moreover in so big characters. This is the only case in fiddling with the cameras that shows up a string display.
I appreciate that the HUD display has a quite small appearance on an angle of the screen, and that it can be disabled, what does not apply to this angle value.

It's an experiment which will be relevant for the new interface I'm working on. Probably is too big though. :rotfl:

That may sound stupid now, with the green image in my profile info, but since when does ORTS have such awesome fog effects?

Cheers, Markus

The most recent work was in X1948 by BB25187, which replaced the fogging equation and added the effect to the sky. Looks pretty good, eh? ;)
