It seems the FOV feature is not yet included with every x_release. I have 2090 and it is no longer there. I had to upgrade from 2087 because that download did not have a large address runactivity.exe.

It´s not yet included, which is a real pitty, IMHO.

A few people have already requested the patch to be made official, including Pedro (PA1930), you, and me.

Don´t know, if we´re ever gonna be hear, though

Cheers, Markus

I didn't want to "press the same key" again, but yes, you're right, you and me and some others have already "requested" it to be applied. Fortunatly James had already given "us" a reply on this topic, but as you can see, it hasn't been applied yet. Hopefully someday it will. In the meantime, I will be using A Tejesember versions mostly because of this feature. :)

Won´t be quite that easy for me any longer, since I´m trying to keep the German trasnlation up to date. Thus, I have to download every official X release for testing purposes... and usually, I stick with it :good2: :)

Cheers, Markus

The files that A Tejesember prepares are usually good for a "stand alone" OR "installation", so it won't be a problem if you put in a different folder afterall... :good2:

If there's something you think we can do to make your life, and other localisers lives, easier, please let me know.

The only thing to do to make life easier is about hoe to commit changes. Yet, this would also not really affect localisers, since it´s about the same amount of work, probably, to commit to svn or upload the .po files here in a zip folder. It would be an improvement for Peter, however, assuming he´s still the one who commits the translations to the official code.

The sentence you quoted rather was there to illustrate how speedy ORTS progresses - I will always stick with the latest build with all the new improvements, even if it´s lacking the camera patch. Anyway, I hope it will be integrated into the official versions soon :good2:

Cheers, Markus

Could you kindly compile the patch in a LAA RunActivity executable. I tried to run the non LAA 2087 .exe and none of the scenery loaded. :thumbup3:

Unfortunately I have a 32 bit system and am not sure about how I can compile an LAA executable, if I can at all.

The LAA executable is not compiled separately; it's a copy which has had "editbin /largeaddressaware RunActivityLAA.exe" run on it (http://msdn.microsof...y/203797te.aspx).
