Well, I don't really know how to do put it working, so hopefully some ORTS developer will consider in applying this... It would be great. :sign_thanks:
Virtual Photography in ORTS is Wonderful! I sure wish I could do this in real life!

I tested the feature and liked it. I kindly ask it to be included within the OR releases (but without the info string).
Pedro, you have a PM.

I've also tested it thanks to Carlo and I loved it!
As for the info string, it would be nice if the info could only appear on the F5 HUD instead of that info string that appears when we change the FOV. :) Other than that, it is fantastic that its possible to adjust the zooming manually while gameplay.

Reworked the patch a bit to be committable. Now it stores the FOV for each camera separately and shows it on the DEBUG screen of the F5 HUD.
I am interested in the developers' thoughts on this, and of course they can commit it if they'd like to.

Carlo, again, if I may ask to give me a RunActivity executable with this new update from A Tejesember, it would be interesting! Sounds very promising too, thank your for your efforts! I've been having a lot of fun with the changeable zooming in-game. I really hope this will make to the "official code". :D

Thank you! I've tested it and it's really awesome for the fact that indeed the FOV can be changed outside, but inside it stays as chosen on the settings. Excellent work! :D

Love this idea. What do I do to make it work? Kinda lost so forgive my ignorance.
EDIT. Got it to work. Had an old copy of ORTS X. Love it.

Hi,
Thanks for the patch: really worth being integrated to the mainline IMO!

May I ask why is this fantastic FOV patch being "discarded" and not applied to the "official" code?
I'm sorry to ask, but I'm still using X2020 just because A Tejesember did the honors to share the RunActivity.exe from this version with the patch applied and one with such feature has a lot of fun specially for the ones who like to make some screenshots with "personalized" zooming.
I'd use a further version where this patch could be applied but once again and unfortunatly I don't know how to compile it (I must ask someone at some point to start doing it myself instead of always asking...).
Just my opinion and my question without any other "complaints". Hopefully no one takes it personally or in a bad way for me asking this, but so far the results were positive for the ones who tried it. :sign_rockon:
