In MSTS I have found that I can Shift+T to keep refilling without holding the button. Is this/will this be available on OR?

Didn't know about this control, so thanks. Do you mean, once Shift+T is pressed, filling continues until the tank is full (or the loco moves away)?

No, it isn't available in OR (and Shift+T currently does something else).

Always willing to discuss ideas but nobody's used the "T" key yet, so let's wait for feedback before committing to enhancements :-)

Setting levels of water, coal, diesel etc. in the ENG fie seems a little odd. Is that what you mean?

I would expect the levels to be set in the ACT file and, if not set, then to be full by default.

In an eng file there is a small section after the controls that can be use to set starting variables some of which over-ride the same Max(parameter) in the eng file. From the default Scotsman we have
comment(fire temp, fire mass, water mass, boiler pressure,
		water level, tender_water_mass, tender_coal_mass,
		smoke_quantity, fire_condition, coal quality )

	EngineVariables( 775 1650 3000 160 0.5 35000 11200 350 1 1 )

That would then be used to set all-time start values, so that (what would be realistic for a loco that has been sitting to get its boiler / engine heated) the fuel is not at 100% in the beginning, e.g. But for an activity, I think, this is a little impractical :)

Cheers, Markus

Tried several engines, but cannot replicate that.

Strange. It appears to be happening in all activities on one route only and not to be associated with x1913.

Hi Railguy,E.g. FuelWater ( 20 )Yes, OR reads it but does nothing with it yet.

Ah, but it does use it. See attached screenshot. The locomotive has 336 gallons of fuel--nearly empty. That is the level designated in the .act file.

Coal and water levels are not yet implemented in the steam HUD. The values can of course be read in the extended debug HUD. I will set up a short activity tomorrow to test that using steam.
