After running for a few minutes, go to the head-out view and the player engine sounds are not playing! If you have your head out at the time that the sounds disappear, they sound like they're receding into the distance (horn sound gets softer and softer, etc.). X 1847 didn't have this problem, but don't have the in-between releases to determine when it started.

This might be due to this change: http://www.elvastowe..._30#entry134874

Thank you for the files. Ran the exact same activity with both of those versions and the sound cut out about seven and a half minutes into the activity. It's activity where you make up a train and then take it out on the road. After making up the train, when leaving town, the player locomotive sound stays behind!

Then tried the latest exe, 1873, from the trunk. That train did make it out of town with all of its sounds, but later the sound faded away. After switching cameras (#6, #5, #1, and then head-out again) the sound came back for some reason. But a while later after that the activity crashed.

Logs are attached.

Hello, I've noticed the same that dcarleton says. On Single player and Multiplayer.

I'm running x.1873

Cheers.

Good Morning:

I am having the same problems, also the sound seems to be at half volume when I start an activity. I went back to 1845 to get full volume but then I might be missing some great updates.

Hope this helps.

Thanks to the team

Just a note: the crash in log of 1873 is totally unrelated to sound, that is related to the memory leak / low memory. So there are at least two different problems here. :pleasantry: Also don't understand Chandler's note of having the sound at half volume is the same as dcarleton's problem, since he hasn't said anything like this.

I cant remember the version where it first happened, but when starting an activity, the external sound is normal for about a second, then drops to around half volume. The internal sounds are not affected.

I have not come across the problem of the OP yet.

In case this post hasn't been noticed, I think it is also relevant to this discussion.

If it's relevant at all, I found that if you switch to the #3 view and then go back to the head out view you get the proper sound level back - until it fades away again and the process is repeated.
