Instead of having the full spec. as posts in the thread I have uploaded a text file that I will update as we go.

In case its helpful, I've attached my ( somewhat incoherent ) notes on the subject:

Attached File  Shapes - File Format Diagram.doc (34.53K)
Number of downloads: 853

Attached File  Shapes - File Format.txt (47.29K)
Number of downloads: 996

And in case its helpful, I'll provide a copy of my Blender to MSTS Exporter. I don't plan to do much more with it, but I'll release it here under GPL in case the community finds it helpful as a base for further development.

Attached File  BlenderToMSTS.zip (3.01MB)
Number of downloads: 907

(PS if its more appropriate for this to be in the library - please feel free to move it there )

Thanks a lot Wayne!

This is really a good start. I'll continue my work from here. :-)

Thanks!

Wayne, it is great you made your work available, and thank you very much for pushing through this! An exporter for a recent modelling software was desired very much.

Wayne, thanks for the exporter:

Worked without reading the instructions.

Please put the exporter in the library.

I wish I'd found this earlier as well. I only learned of it from Harold's posting a link to here on the UKTrainsim forum. My thanks as well for putting the exporter online.
