Will I be able to do this by installing only your Runactivity.exe file?

Yes, you can.
Rename your actual Runactivity.exe. Example: -Runactivity.exe.
Copy the new Runactiviy.exe file, in the same place.

Be sure that 'Large address aware binaries(for all 64bit and 3GB tuning on 32bit)' in the Options/General menu it is unchecked.

I hope this helps you.

Regards,
Mauricio

Unfortunately OR will not run an activity with your Runactivity.exe in place. It returns to the main OR menu. I did not have LAA checked.

Runactivity.exe was compiled with unstable version x3784.
I have tested it in Activity and Explorer modes, without problem.

An option would be, to set your Menu/Options/Updater to Unstable.
Once it is updated with unstable version, try again.

Tested with x3785 unstable version, and weekly version, working all of them correctly, for me.

I'm sorry, it looks like you can't test it, for the moment.

Regards,
Mauricio.

New Runactivity.exe file generated with x3789 unstable version, it works correctly with route Explorer, Activity and Timetable modes.

Try it again, please.

Attached Patch + new Runactivity.exe.

Regards,
Mauricio.

13/02/2017. Deleted for a new patch update.

Looks passable.
I think that a way to disable the feature is needed,

Regards.

Just for the record, I want to repeat a suggestion I've been offering for some time. Sprite text -- ALL sprite text -- should be displayed only if it is marked for display in the specific activity which is running. IMO that would greatly reduce the amount of text that is displayed at any given moment in time and by definition restrict the text to uniquely serve the information needs of each activity.

It needn't be anything more complex than making a copy of the routes .tit file, deleting everything in it that isn't a platform or siding (with text) that is desired for an activity, and saving it as <ActivityFileName>.tit. THAT identifies which sprite text to display in that activity, assuming the OR team changes the code to make use of it. No more unwanted sprites (of any intensity).

A subsequent enhancement could allow for the equivalent of an LOD value -- no need to display "Barnaby's Fuel Depot" at a distance of 10,000m when 500m might serve perfectly well. Using different color text could be very useful as well -- yellow for one purpose, orange for another and so on. NONE of that need be placed in the world file... the copy of the route's .tit file could take it all w/o consequences elsewhere.

And at some other time a new activity editor might choose to make the sub-setting easier to do that what I've described here.

Route builders and/or end users who wish could then label darn near every side track of potential interest, including matters well beyond existing practice, such as marking where the grade changes.

I am still not able to run the updated Runactivity.exe file. Daily update has now updated OR to x3792.

I have finally been able to run and test this modification (using the file you sent me by PM).

The change in intensity of the labels is certainly there but they all appear a little too dark to me. Can each shade by lightened a little?
