Ten wood frame flangers were built in 1885 and numbered 1 to 10. In 1907 these flangers were assigned new work car numbers OC to OL. In 1913 OJ, along with five others of this group, were extensively rebuilt at Salida. Between 1930 and 1946 they were again rebuilt to their present steel frame configuration, with OJ receiving it’s rebuild in 1943.

This model was made from plans for flanger OD drawn by David Braun and published in A Century + Ten of D&RGW Narrow Gauge Freight Cars. It was configured as flanger OJ based on measurements and pictures made of OJ by myself at Chama, NM.

Howard Saunders performed all file and texture tweaking, all lettering, and initial testing. Herb Kelsey and Derek Miller performed the Beta testing and Herb Kelsey plowed the snow in the screenie.

To install, unzip the attached file to your desktop, or the temporary location of your choice.  This will produce a folder named “TRAINS.”  Open your Train Simulator folder where your TRAINS folder is located and drag the new “TRAINS” folder into the Train Simulator folder.

Enjoy, Bill
