In version .1777 I have headlights. In the latest release, .1778, the headlights don't work at all.

I have the same problem.

I also have a problem in the first new F5+shift Consist info crashing with a system argument out of range error when I have over 50 cars, but to dodge the error poping up if I want to go to the next info I turn the f5 hud off then press shift+f5 twice then turn it back on escaping from seeing the consist info with no problem.

Edit Consist Info: Just did some research and it appears the problem is for cars that don't have wheels or/and bogies in a shape like an articulated.

I'll look at both these issues this evening.

yes, 1778 has no working lights. I went back to 1773 and all is well with the lights.

Fixed in X.1779. There was code that was completely eating the exception from loading lights, which is why I didn't noticed the problem. That code has been removed.

Although fixed, a new bug has appeared: the lights after cab change don't work.

Unlikely to be a new bug, but I'll have a look. There's been a lot of ad-hoc changes to lights. :lol2:

I have just checked changing cabs with some of my MUs. On some, the lights on what was the leading car and is now the tail car do change from white headlights to red tail lights as they should. However, the lights on what was the tail car and is now the lead car are dead - no light of any sort appears at any state of the "H" key.
Lights on other MUs disappear entirely when you change cab.
On yet others they are working correctly.

All work correctly on MSTS and used to work on OR some time ago.

The setup of the light statements for MU cab change is different depending on whether the trailing car is a flipped lead car or a specific trailing car with the cab at the logical rear of the model. This almost certainly accounts for the differences between the results with my MUs.

Changing cab on locos (light engine and top and tailing) are still working correctly. This is analogous to an MU using a flipped lead car as a trailing car.

Do you have any examples where the lights are not working? The ones I've found so far appear to work, but it is very hard to find relevant consists.
